Robert Anthony “Biggie” McEwen, 83, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at his home. Visitation will be held from 12-4 PM on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street in Jeffersonville. A private burial will take place at a later date in the Indiana Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Madison, IN.
Biggie was born on October 23, 1934 in Anaconda, MT, to the late Robert and Barbara McEwen. He was a retired steam fitter and a devout Catholic. Biggie was an Army veteran and a 34 year sober member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret McEwen; and three siblings, Joe McEwen, Mary Rule, and Una McEwen.
Biggie is survived by his six children, Lauri McEwen Davis; Cyndi McEwen Guenthner; Bob McEwen (Kristy); Brian McEwen (Angi); Tom McEwen (Rebecca); John McEwen (Chris); a sister, Barbara Bayliff (Bill); eleven grandchildren, Tony Davis, Joe Davis (Amber), Evan Guenthner, Bailey McEwen, Benett McEwen, Aidan McEwen, Calvin McEwen, Murphy McEwen, Marcus McEwen, Megan McEwen, Max McEwen; and two great grandchildren, Liam Davis and Leif Davis.
